ViEmu for Word and Outlook 1.0

Vi/vim editing for your word processing

ViEmu for Word and Outlook is an innovative new product that provides vi/vim emulation for document processing in Microsoft Word, and for mail composing in Microsoft Outlook.

Screenshots: (click to enlarge)

ViEmu for Visual Studio is compatible with Microsoft Word and Outlook from Office versions 2002 (XP), 2003 and 2007. When using Outlook versions 2002 or 2003, ViEmu only works if Word is configured as the mail editing program (it doesn't work if you use Outlook's internal RTF editor). Since this setting is on by default if you have Word installed, it's most likely that you are actually using Word for all your mail editing. Since Outlook 2007 always uses the Word engine for editing, this limitation is not present in Office 2007.

The Backup process will back up all your data into a single file, containing all data, including system data and registry, for total security, should your computer ever crash.
There is no restart (to DOS) necessary. Ever.

The new Snapshot technology ensures that all data are consistent, and reflect the PC's data at the start of backup. There are no difficulties with opened files. Ever.

This works with any program of your choice, including (of course) the Windows Explorer

* Complete Restore of a disk in case of Disaster
If a disk is restored to its original state, it will be exactly the same as at the time of Backup - byte for byte.
Restoring a system partition will require DOS; other drives can be restored using Windows

* Compatible with all Windows file systems (FAT16, FAT32, NTFS)
Supports Linux EXT2/3/Reiser

* Compatible with all Windows RAID Methods

* Very easy and comprehensive command line interface
