When you support small offices, home offices, and remote offices, you often run across older wireless equipment. Equipment that’s likely secured with MAC filtering and perhaps a hidden SSID and WEP encryption.

I think most techs would agree that MAC filtering alone isn’t going to secure a wireless network and that even WEP and a hidden SSID aren’t much better. But, does MAC filtering at least keep out the lazy hackers? In this IT Dojo video, I show you just how easy it is to spoof a MAC address.

3. install-us main module has official signature now. Makes it easier to run program without several annoying security warnings.

4. Bugfix in uninstallation routine, which prevents uninstall of program group entries in some cases.

5. install-us Home was replaced with install-us Standard. That means: install-us Standard allows a cost-effecitive way to install even commercial applications (Old install-us Home was limited to non-commercial use).

6. Updated user interface. No blue background anymore. More Vista-like installation wizard available now.

7. Installations can now detect several OS versions. Installations can stop or give a warning message if OS is not supported by your software.
